Men's Health Comes Into Focus

With non communicable diseases continuing to pose a threat the Ministry of Health and Social Services is collaborating with the Seventh-day Adventist Community to introduce “Health Matters:  For Men. About men.”

The innovative series of discussions, health screenings and other educational activities is scheduled to begin on June 22nd and will run for several months until December 2021.

According to the Health Promotion unit the this series will cover topics such as hypertension and cardiovascular disease, prostate health, diabetes and mental health and wellness.

It says the aim is to educate and encourage men to prioritize their own health and wellness.

“Health Matters: For Men. About Men.” Will launch with an open discussion titled Breaking Down the Barriers to Health and Wellness on Tuesday June 22nd at 6:00 p.m. downstairs the New Ebenezer SDA Church.

Questions will be answered on health care issues that are important to individuals, challenges that make it difficult for men to prioritize their health, and what can be done to help.
