An Opposition Member Calls on Government to Tackle Hike in Food Prices

Member of Parliament the Honourable David Osborne wants  the government to put price control measures in place to protect consumers.

Mr. Osborne, who served as a Minister of Government from 2017-2019 says some merchants are involved in what he calls “price gouging”.

His intervention comes amidst a rise in prices of food and other goods such as building materials.

The government says the spiraling prices in the shops are the result of increasing cost of goods along the supply chain internationally.
