Quarantine Period Reduced for Persons Who are Vaccinated
Fully vaccinated persons will quarantine for 10 days when they enter the country, while persons who are not vaccinated would have to quarantine for 14 days.
Minister of Health the Honourable Charles Kirnon made the disclosure on Friday as he encouraged persons to take the AstraZeneca vaccine.
He said vaccinated persons would still be required to present a negative covid 19 test on arrival in Montserrat.
The number of persons signing up for the AstraZeneca vaccine has slowed to a trickle in recent weeks.
This means Montserrat is in danger of not utilizing the 3000 doses gifted by the UK government.
Minister Kirnon says with new strains of the virus emerging it is the moral duty of all adults to become inoculated against the virus.
Minister Kirnon also called on leaders to encourage persons to take the vaccine.
