A Leading Physician Drives Home Long-Term Health Benefits of Exercise

One of the island’s leading medical practitioners has been expounding on the importance of exercise and its benefit to all who engage in various forms of exercise.

Speaking on the first episode of the health and wellness radio programme, Emergency and critical care physician, Dr. Ingrid Buffonge, says physical activity and exercise can have immediate and long-term health benefits

She adds that not only does physical activity improve one’s health and reduce the risk of developing several diseases, it also enhances longevity.
