Montserrat to Receive Regional Police Support for the St. Patrick’s Festival
A small group of officers from the Caribbean region would be on Montserrat to assist with the projected influx of visitors, during the St. Patrick’s festival season.
Commissioner of Police, Mark Payne confirmed that six officers, from the Cayman Islands and Bermuda, would be on island for three weeks to provide additional support to the Royal Montserrat Police Service- RMPS during the festival period.
Commissioner Payne says these officers will be brought up to speed on the laws of the land before they are deployed alongside local officers.
