Premier Meade Urges CARICOM to Act on Long-Delayed Integration Plans
Montserrat’s leader of government business, premier, the Honourable Reuben T. Meade has called on the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) to implement the low-hanging fruits of the integration process.
Addressing the 48th Regular meeting of CARICOM, at the Sir Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre in Barbados, Wednesday evening, Premier Meade, the newest regional head, lamented the fact that many years ago decisions were taken by CARICOM heads and are yet to be realized.
He explained that these decisions were meant to enhance integration and improve the processes of free movement within the region.
Premier Meade also pointed to the exclusion of Montserrat, as a full member, from the allocation of project funds to CARICOM.
