Construction and Industrial Equipment Limited Commits to Using Local Talent and Materials for Montserrat’s New National Hospital
Construction and Industrial Equipment Limited (CIE), the company responsible for building a new National Hospital for Montserrat, is looking forward to integrating local talent and materials into the project.
That’s the word from Managing Director of CIE Rayneau Gajadhar.
Speaking to ZJB News following the official contract signing last month, Gajadhar says the company is willing to work with as many residents and local stakeholders as possible.
Gajadhar says the company is prepared to manage what anticipates to be a busy construction site, in order to ensure the smooth running of the project.
He says they will also make every effort to reduce risk to life and minimize damage.

The Government of Montserrat and Construction and Industrial Equipment Limited officially signed the 100 million EC dollar contract for the new Hospital on Friday January 24th.
The hospital is a key component of the UK-funded Capital Investment Programme for Economic Growth (CIPREG).
The Official start date for the beginning of construction is set for April 7th.
