Property Tax Delinquents Face Public Auction on March 12
The Government of Montserrat has issued a final notice to property owners with outstanding Property Tax arrears exceeding three years.
The Inland Revenue Department within the Montserrat Customs and Revenue Service, which is tasked with collecting tax-related revenue for the Government of Montserrat, warns that public auctions will be conducted for unpaid properties if debts are not settled in full.
According to the latest update, a revised list of properties still in arrears as of January 31, 2025, has been published following prior notifications in the Gazette on March 20, June 26, and July 31, 2024.
Speaking on the “MRCS Keeping You Informed” radio programme, Acting Comptroller Roland Irish says property owners have been urged to settle their outstanding balances before the auction on the first set of properties set for March 12 2025.
