Applications Open for Government of Montserrat Scholarship for 2025/2026 Academic Year

The Government of Montserrat is now accepting applications for scholarships for the 2025/2026 academic year.

The application period runs from January 22, 2025, to May 31, 2025.

Special consideration will be given to graduates of the Montserrat Secondary School and the Montserrat Community College who are pursuing studies at the CSEC and CAPE levels.

Applicants in this category must submit their applications no later than August 30, 2025.

Eligible individuals are encouraged to address their applications to the Chairman of the National Scholarship Advisory Committee and submit them to the Human Resources Management Unit at Government Headquarters in Brades, Montserrat.

Physical copies of the application form are available at the Human Resources Management Unit at Government Headquarters or can be requested via email at Training.HRMU@gov.ms.

Every year the Government of Montserrat advertises a List of Priority Areas for Long-term Training & Development from Learning Needs submitted to the Learning & Development Section from Ministries and Departments within the Public Service.

This list is then used to award Scholarships.

Public servant officers and Individuals in the Private Sector can apply to pursue training in these areas.

Once returned the awardees are expected to be employed within the Public Awardees will be bonded for a period of 3-5 years depending on the duration of study.

One year study is a bonding period of 3 years. Studies over 1 year, a bonding of 5 years is required.

Learning and Development facilitates a number of other training initiatives, through the granting of financial assistance to persons who are not awarded a scholarship and wish to pursue training nonetheless.
