The issue of “domicile by choice and domicile by origin” has sparked intense debate among Montserratians both at home and in the diaspora for some time and especially as the general election draws closer.

During its latest radio programme “Our Election” Supervisor of Election, Barrington Chalmers, points out that every election year, domicile of choice and domicile of origin have been a source of a lot of contention among voters.
