CXC Official Urges Caribbean Teachers and Students to Practice Ethics and Integrity in Education
More focus must be placed on ethics and integrity in education from both students and teachers in the Caribbean, including Montserrat.
This was the sentiment of Dr. Nicole Manning, director of operations in the Examination Services Division at the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC).
She was presenting the regional results of the 2024 May June CXC Examinations at the official release of results in Dominica on Tuesday.
Dr. Manning expressed disappointment at the rise of irregularities from 36 cases in 2023 to 56 cases in the 2024 CXC exams. These included cases of cheating with cell phones and impersonating other candidates.
Dr. Manning urged students and teachers to practice ethics and integrity as it reflects on the entire Caribbean.
