Government Take Steps to Protect Crops from Loose Livestock
Minister for Agriculture, Honourable Crenston Buffonge says the government has taken definitive steps to protect crops from loose livestock.
He told the Legislative Assembly on Tuesday that the legislation governing the animal pound system is being reviewed, while additional staff are being recruited as part of the crop protection team.
Minister Buffonge says the Ministry of Agriculture also distributed hundreds of rolls of wire to animal farmers over the past four years.
