Measures announced to ensure Radiation Safety
Steps have been taken to ensure radiation safety in the new hospital project.
At the information session last week, Branca Pegado of Article 25 explained how the building design ensures protection from radiation.
According to Pegado, certification will be sought from the regional radiation authority.
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sharra Greenaway Duberry discussed the recruitment of a medical physicist, as well as measures being taken to protect individuals who will be working on the equipment.
Clinical sonographer, Sonia Charles, who was an attendee at the session, also shared some ideas to optimitze radiation protection.
