Residents Warned of Risk Factors as Montserrat Observes World Aids Day
As Montserrat joins the global observance of World Aids Day on Friday residents here are being warned about risk factors for the disease.
HIV Clinical Care Coordinator Faqueeda Watson Jones says the most common risk factor is engaging in unprotected sexual activity.
According to UNAIDS, AIDS-related deaths have fallen by almost 70 per cent since their peak in 2004, and new HIV infections are at the lowest point since the 1980s.
