A Call for More Displays of the Island’s National Symbols

Premier the Honourable Joseph Farrell has called for more displays of the island’s national symbols.

He made the call at the unveiling ceremony of portraits of former ministers of Agriculture, Lands, Housing and the Environment on Wednesday.

During the ceremony Premier Farrell declared that Montserrat’s most important symbol, its flag should be flown on all government buildings.

He also congratulated the ministry for its initiative to honour past ministers, which he describes as an important step in building national pride.

Meantime, Current Minister for Agriculture, Lands, Housing and the Environment, Honourable Crenston Buffonge highlighted the sterling contributions of all the former ministers over the years.

Minister Buffonge spoke about the inputs and leadership philosophies that have transformed the ministry and sector over the years.
