Only One Covid-19 Case Reported on Tuesday

There is one active case of COVID-19 on island.

The Ministry of Health and Social Services has reported that during the period 12:00 noon Friday June 17th to 12 noon Tuesday June 21st, it recorded 1 new case of the virus. The case, recorded on Sunday June 19th, was imported.

The ministry is also reporting 3 recoveries during the period.

This brings the number of confirmed cases on Montserrat since the start of the pandemic to 1016.

There are 28 persons in quarantine.

Under the Ministry of Health's Vaccination Programme 48.4% of the eligible population is now fully vaccinated.

The public is reminded to measures to protect themselves from the virus. Such as practicing good hand hygiene, wearing face coverings in public spaces, adhering to quarantine and isolation protocols and vaccinating against this potentially deadly virus.
