COVID-19 Cases Confirmed in Elderly Care Homes and Prison
Health Authorities have confirmed the presence of COVID-19 in Elderly Care Facilities on the island.
This has prompted restrictions on visits at both the Golden Years Home and the Margretson Memorial Home.
There were also confirmed reports of infections at Her Majesty’s Prison.
Director of Primary Health Care Dr. Dorothea Hazel Blake and before her Chief Medical Officer Dr. Shara Greenaway-Duberry making the announcement on the Talking Health radio programme Wednesday.
A large number of persons were tested for COVID-19 on Wednesday continuing a trend that began last week.
As of Tuesday May 11, there were 337 active cases of COVID-19 on the island.
