Minister of Health Meets with Nurses to Discuss Grievances

Minister for Health, Honurable Charles Kirnon has described as “fruitful” a meeting held with nurses at the Ministry of Education Friday afternoon.

The meeting was called to discuss grievances the nurses have proposed relating to their working conditions.

The Nurses staged a demonstration on Thursday on the Glendon Hospital compound to push for their grievances to be addressed

ZJB News caught up with Minister Kirnon following the meeting with the nurses and asked him what were some of the outcomes from the discussions

Meantime, President of the Montserrat Nurses Association Danelda Henry felt the results of then meeting were less than what was desired all things considered.

And, President of the Montserrat Civil Service Association (MCSA), Mrs Nyota Mulcare, who was standing in solidarity with the nurses who are members of the union, said even though the outcomes were not what the nurses expected, some non-financial quick wins were identified.
