The Government of Montserrat Reiterates Housing as a Priority
Housing continues to be a huge priority for the government of Montserrat.
That’s according to Minister with responsibility for housing, Honourable Crenston Buffonge.
He reports that two consultancies were completed within the past year and cases will be put forward to the United Kingdom to fund the government’s housing programmes.
In the meantime, Minister Buffonge says the government will use the resources at its disposal to assist persons who wish to build their own homes.
Mr. Buffonge says the government will continue to focus on the most vulnerable in the community.
And Mr. Buffonge has announced more plans to improve the housing situation for persons across the island, as well as the passage of key legislation.
