Montserrat and Other OECS States Moves Forward with Harmonized Curriculum Plans

Montserrat and other member states of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) are pressing ahead with plans for a harmonized curriculum for schools in the sub region.

The matter was discussed at the meeting of Permanent Secretaries of Education held recently at the Montserrat National Trust.

Ministers of Education agreed in 2021 on the harmonized legislation, which focuses on the skills and concepts of tomorrow that children require today.

ZJB News caught with the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education in St. Lucia, Michelle Charles, who explained the importance of a harmonized approach to education in the sub-region.
