Montserrat’s Leader of Government Business Calls for Another Regional Stage to Collectively Discuss and Address Overseas Territories’ Concerns
Montserrat’s Premier the Honourable Joseph Farrell is calling for an OECS-style organization to increase collaboration among United Kingdom Overseas Territories.
He says apart from the Joint Ministerial Council, which meets once a year, the Overseas Territories do not have a platform to address common issues that affect them.
He made the call on Wednesday during an online interview on the programme “Territories Talk”.
According to Premier Farrell the OT’s need to support each other to confront problems such as economic and environmental challenges.
