Former Montserrat Chief Minister in Trouble with the Law Again

Former Chief Minister and veteran Attorney David S. Brandt has run afoul of the law once again.

Following on from his recent conviction and subsequent sentencing, David S.Brandt on Thursday pleaded guilty to possession of an unlicensed firearm.

The firearm, a BB pellet gun, was found during a search of his house back in 2015.

Both Mr Brandt and his wife Verna Brandt were charged with possession.

Mr. Brandt was sentenced to 4 months imprisonment to run concurrently with the other sentences he received earlier this week..

He is currently serving a 15-year sentence.

The matter against Mrs Verna Brandt was dropped.
