The Government of Montserrat Takes Concrete Steps to Improve Business Climate on Island
The Government of Montserrat is continuing to take steps to improve doing business on island.
The latest initiative is an informational forum for the business community, organized by the Trade Division in partnership with the Customs and Excise Department.
The session, dubbed “Chat with Customs”, is carded for Thursday August 5th at 5:00pm at the Montserrat Cultural Centre.
The Comptroller and Deputy Comptroller of Customs will be in attendance.
They will touch on a number of topics to include the recent changes to the HS Code and the increases and decreases of tariff lines, Duty-free opportunities available and how to apply.
Meantime, Principal Trade and Quality Infrastructure Officer Adena Johnson is encouraging the business community to take advantage of the opportunity and to register by contacting the Trade division.
