Montserrat Residents Encouraged to Start Pension Fund
Montserratian Actuary Derek Osborne is encouraging residents in Montserrat and other members of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank to think seriously about having pension plans.
This was highlighted on the most recent episode of ECCB Connects.
Osborne says pensions are not just for older persons, encourages young working people to have a pension.
He explains that this is necessary as having access to a monthly income stream that is guaranteed for the rest of one’s life, is a desirable state of affairs after retirement.
Osborne also gave tips to self employed persons on starting a pension fund.
