No Confirmed Record of Deaths Attributable to COVID-19 on Island
The island’s Director of Primary Healthcare says there have been no deaths in Montserrat that can be attributed to the AstraZeneca Vaccine.
Dr. Dorothea Hazel Blake provided the clarification on the breakfast Show on Wednesday following claims that recent deaths on the island were caused by the vaccine.
She says in keeping with government policy all deaths including sudden deaths are investigated on the island.
The Epidemiologist says a similar process is currently underway.
Dr. Hazel Blake says Montserrat on average has three to four deaths per month, and although sudden deaths are a concern, all factors must be taken into account.
