The Government of Montserrat Works Towards a Minimum Wage
The Government of Montserrat is still pursuing a minimum wage for workers in Montserrat.
Minister of Labour Dr. the Honourable Samuel Joseph says United Kingdom officials are awaiting the outcome of a survey before discussion on the matter can be advanced.
The survey of Living Conditions was undertaken by the Statistics Department, and is in the final stages of completion.
Dr. Joseph says the minimum wage would also have implications for the government of Montserrat.
