Montserrat Marks Significant Milestone in Regional Integration
The Organization of the Eastern Caribbean States... OECS is marking 40 years of advancing regional integration in the subregion.
The OECS which comprises eleven islands was established in 1981 by the treaty of Basseterre.
The original signatories are Montserrat, Antigua and Barbuda, Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and The Grenadines.
Since then, it has expanded to include Anguilla, the British Virgin Islands, Martinique and Guadeloupe.
