Easing of Lock Down Not A return To Normal Says Premier Farrell
Montserrat’s leader of government business is cautioning residents against taking the easing of restrictions in this COVID-19 situation as a signal to let down their guards.
Speaking during a press conference on Thursday, Premier, the Honourable Joseph Farrell said the easing of restrictions is a move to open up the island’s ailing economy, but urges that residents should still adhere fully to the guidelines established by the ministry of health.
Premier Farrell also outlined other new measures taken to encourage the reopening of the economy
Apart from the COVID-19 suppression measures, phased reopening of the economy, Mr. Farrell says the government of Montserrat has also been actively involved in other areas to move the island forward
