Montserrat Hopes to Conduct COVID-19 Testing Shortly
The Ministry of Health should be in a position shortly to start testing locally for COVID-19.
Minister of Health Honourable Charles Kirnon announced in Parliament on Tuesday that the process of certifying the PCR machine will take place this week.
He noted that this would be a boost to Montserrat’s fight against the coronavirus.
During his contribution to the budget debate Mr. Kirnon also thanked the Director of Primary Health Care, Doctors, Nurses and other health staff who were on the frontline against the coronavirus pandemic.
Mr. Kirnon also revealed that the new hospital is still on track.
The Health Minister stated that persons should be prepared to pay for the services at the new hospital when it comes on stream.
