Opposition Leader Calls on the Government to Save the Sand Mining Industry

Leader of the Opposition, Honourable Paul Lewis has made an impassioned plea for the Government of Montserrat to save the sand mining industry.

Speaking on the 2020/21 Budget, Mr. Lewis stated that the industry accounts for 90% of Montserrat’s exports and employs many persons.

However, he revealed that this important sector is under threat.
