A Call for the Inclusion of a Purpose-built Isolation Room in the Final Design of the Hospital Project

An experienced medical doctor is recommending that the proposed new hospital include a purpose-built isolation room.

Dr. Lanval Daly, who practiced medicine for more than forty years, says such a facility would provide care for patients who suffer from acute respiratory illnesses such as the Corona Virus.

Dr. Daly, who specialized in gynecology, believes there would be more similar pandemics in the future.

Dr. Daly, who is now retired was speaking during the Montserrat Conference, organized by former Speaker Shirley Osborne.

The design of the new hospital in St. Johns is scheduled for completion this month.
