Doctor Calls for the Establishment of Men’s Desk

A call has been made for the establishment of a Men’s Desk to advocate for the rights of the male gender.

The suggestion has come from Dr. Braimah Kasim, who is concerned that men are withdrawing from their traditional roles in the family and in the community in general.

Dr. Kasim, who was a guest on the radio programme Under the Tamarind tree on Sunday, says the desk should play a similar role it did for women, which in the 1970’s and 1980s successfully campaigned for equal treatment to men.

Dr. Kasim, who helps organized the annual International Men’s Day Forum says the situation is now reversed.
