Health Minister Honourable Charles Kirnon Defends Government’s Decision to Impose COVID-19 Testing Fee
The Minister with responsibility for health has explained the rationale for the EC$300 dollar charge attached to COVID-19 testing when people intend to travel.
He was responding to a question posed by opposition member Honourable Donaldson Romeo on the reason for the fee, given that the UK government has already said that it would continue to provide support in this regard.
But Health Minister, Honourable Charles Kirnon says there is a much bigger picture in view that must be considered.

In a recent statement, Minister for the Overseas Territories at the Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO), Baroness Liz Sugg confirmed that the UK Government has undertaken a major operation to support Montserrat and its other Overseas Territories (OTs) in dealing with COVID-19.
She says supplies of PPE were sent to ensure no OT ran out.
