Montserrat Joins the Global Observance of World Diabetes Day

Montserrat on Thursday November 14th joined the global observance of World Diabetes Day.

Currently, over 452-million people are living with the chronic disease worldwide. In Montserrat, there are several persons suffering with type 1 and/or type 2 diabetes. In her address marking World Diabetes Day 2019, Acting Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Shara Greenaway Duberry emphasized the importance of early detection and lifestyle changes to manage the dreaded disease within the family setting.

She also stressed the need for direct support for those living with diabetes.
