Breast Cancer Survivor Promotes Self-Exams and Mammograms
Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an international campaign that aims to elevate education in breast cancer as well as encouraging early detection and raising funds to find a cure.
This month, the ZJB News team will speak to various individuals, to increase awareness of breast cancer and educate listeners on the contributing factors of developing and reducing the chances of the disease.
Ms. Bernadine Collins, a member of the Pink Ribbon Foundation spoke on some of her experiences as a breast cancer survivor.
Collins, who’s now in remission from the disease also urged women to have regular self-exams and mammograms should be taken to ensure early detection of breast cancer.
