Ministry of Health to Step Up Prevention Programme in 2019

With non-communicable diseases continuing to be the island’s main health risks, the Health Promotion Unit plans to step up its prevention programme in 2019.

Health Promotion Coordinator Penny Maloney says there will be emphasis on diet and exercise.

She says this is in response to the health threat caused by hypertension and diabetes in particular.
