Attorney-at-Law Calls For Constitutional Reform

An Attorney-at-Law has joined the call for constitutional reform.

Attorney David Brandt says under the constitution, the Governor has more power than elected representatives.

According to the 2010 Constitution Order Montserrat the governor has responsibility for defense, external affairs, international financial services, internal security and the public service.

Brandt is therefore calling on His Excellency the Governor to delegate some of these responsibilities.
