Local Businessman Says Airlines Can't Meet Demand

A local businessman has cast doubt on the capacity of airlines here to meet the demands of passengers and businesses.

Julian Romeo says there are times when the airlines are unable to move passengers and cargo as required.

Appearing on the programme Spotlight, hosted by Jermaine Wade, he also raised the issue of safety.

Nigel Harris from Fly Montserrat responded by saying the islander aircraft is a more comfortable experience than the ferry.

Regarding air travel, he said the airlines are under utlized.

Mr. Harris also calls for more subsidy to be given to the airlines to make air travel cheaper.
