Port Authority Demonstrates Commitment To Community Development
The members of the Cork Hill Reunion Committee have been motivated by the generosity of a local corporation.
The Montserrat Port Authority demonstrated its commitment to community development as part of its corporate social responsibility by donating thirty two light fixtures to the committee.
The Authority says as part of an upgrade, it recently replaced the light fixtures on its compound in Little Bay and in an act of good community spirit, donated the recycled light fixtures to the community group.
Secretary of the Reunion Community Sonia Smith said the lights will be repurposed for illuminating select streets in the Village during fundraising events.
Smith reported on the community projects the committee has embarked on to date.
