Parents Urged To Step Up

Parents are being urged to play a greater role in the education of their children.

The advice is coming from form teacher at the Montserrat Secondary School Denise Silcott.

Appearing on the new radio programme EDUCATION: RAISING THE BAR, Miss Silcott said there are some parents who do not show enough interest in the performance of their children in school.

She says this is more so evident when the children reach the Montserrat Secondary School.

Ms. Silcott says parents are helping in the growth of their children when they discourage them from participating in development activities.
