Noticeable improvements have been reported in current students’ musical abilities ahead of the Small Beginnings Youth Orchestra’s annual Summer Music Programme.
Deadline date is closing in for parents to register their child or children for this summer programme, which will be held at the Salem Resource Centre, from August 17 to 28.
Founder and Director Herman Francis says the programme will once again feature music teachers from Guernsey, continuing a partnership that began two years ago and helped improve the students’ musical skills, confidence and ability to read music.
Speaking to ZJB News, Francis said the programme is open to both current members and new students, providing an opportunity for children interested in music to join the orchestra and encouraged parents to take advantage of the opportunity by registering their children.
