Montserrat Financial Intelligence Unit Announces Public Webinar on Fraud Awareness
The Montserrat Financial Intelligence Unit continues to step up its awareness campaign against fraud.
The unit has announced a public webinar titled “Fraud Awareness in Today's World!”
The information session will be held online on March 25th, focusing on raising awareness about the impact of fraud on individuals and businesses.
The seminar, which starts at 5:30pm will feature a former detective and financial investigator with the Metropolitan Police Homicide and Serious Crime Command in London, Michael McNeir.
Mcneir was part of a team investigating high profile homicide investigations in the UK.
After serving ten years on this team, he then worked on the Organized Crime - London Asset Confiscation and Enforcement Team - where he was part of a small team conducting financial investigations into seizing assets from criminals to satisfy their confiscation orders both in the UK and abroad.
Mcneir, who has a Bachelor's degree with merit in Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing through the International Compliance Association, conducted numerous presentations globally with regards to various aspects of financial crime including links to cultural heritage.
