"Cocoa Tea and Plate Tart" Poetry Evening Generates Positive Response

There was a positive response to Cocoa Tea and Plate Tart, an evening of poetry readings that took place at the Montserrat Public Library recently.

The spoken word experience was held on March 19th, following the St. Patrick’s festival, and featured two of Montserrat’s cultural icons - Ann Marie Dewar and Myrle roach.

Appearing on the Cultural Show both authors shared their thoughts on the event, which was well attended.

Dewar is the author of Wha Marme Say: Poems in the Montserratian Creole Language and God’s Plans Were Better, while Roach wrote Tamarind Seeds.
