Montserrat Urged to Include Economic Rights in Constitution Draw Up

A renowned expert on corporate governance is urging Montserrat to include economic rights as it looks to advance its constitution.

Peter Thornton, a Caribbean-Canadian financial services corporate governance lawyer feels strongly that the right to employment and to fair and meaningful wages should be given consideration.

He made his comments during the recent Montserrat Conference, which focused on developing a new constitution that advances the social and economic development of Montserrat.
