Former Airport Manager Highlights Missed Opportunities in Montserrat’s Airport Development

A former airport manager has added his voice to the discussion surrounding the findings of a study on the suitability of aircraft operating at the John A. Osborne Airport.

Norman Cassell has brought to the fore how a deviation from a 20-year plan for airport development on island has affected progress at the facility here.

During his discourse Tuesday on the “what’s on your mind” radio programme, he raised a number of salient points which, had they been followed, would have ensured better aviation facilitation, efficiency, economy and viability for the long term.

Cassell pointed to a physical development plan for the airport facility, the viability of twin otter operations, and Montserrat’s future development.
