Government Pledges to Improve Working Conditions for Nurses
The United Alliance Government says it is committed to improving the working conditions of nurses on the island.
Addressing the issue in Parliament Minister of Health Dr. the Honourable Ingrid Buffonge says the administration is committed to covering the cost of nursing sessions.
She says this is necessary to ensure that shifts are filled, given the current shortage of nurses.
The minister says the government is also willing to consider adding professional allowances to the salaries of nurses and teachers.
