Montserrat Tourism Authority Leads Successful Beach Cleanup at Carr’s Bay
The Montserrat Tourism Authority’s Community Environmental Stewardship Initiative hosted a successful beach cleanup at Carr’s Bay on Sunday.
Members of the Montserrat community came out to assist with the clean up project, collecting bottles, cans, plastic utensils, and other various types of litter from the area.
Director of the MTA, Rosetta West-Gerald described the purpose of the Community Environmental Stewardship Initiative, saying the upkeep of Montserrat’s environment benefits both visitors and residents.
She also expressed enthusiasm at the number of persons who participated.

Meanwhile, parliamentary secretary of the office of the Premier, with responsibility for Tourism, Culture and Diaspora Affairs, Honourable Crenston Buffonge, described the benefits of the clean up on tourism and the environment.
