Local Stakeholders Attend the Launch of Digital Readiness Assessment Workshop

Stakeholders from across the government of Montserrat and private sector were present at the first day of the national Digital Readiness Assessment (DRA) workshop.

The workshop marked the launch of the DRA, an assessment being held by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the government of Montserrat, to evaluate Montserrat's digital strengths and weaknesses.

In her opening remarks, Deputy premier, the Hon. Veronica Dorsette-Hector explained the purpose of the assessment.

She praised the initiative, noting its benefits on Montserrat's community.

Honourable Hector also highlighted the necessity of digital transformation at this present time.

Six key areas will be evaluated in the assessment, namely digital public infrastructure, connectivity, regulation, economy, government and people.
