Government to Sign $100M Contract for New Hospital Construction on Friday

A major step in improving healthcare delivery on the island will be taken on Friday.

The Ministry of Health and Social Services announced that the Government will be signing the contract with a St. Lucia-based company to construct the new hospital.

Construction and Industrial Equipment Ltd won the bid and was awarded the more than 100 million EC dollar contract.

Two companies participated in the tendering process; the other being ADS construction.

The New National Hospital Project is the keystone project funded under the Capital Investment Programme for Economic Growth (CIPREG), by the FCDO.

It was designed by Article 25, an international architectural organisation based in the UK, with impressive experience in health facility design.
