Cultural Icon Keithroy "De Voice" Morson Prepares Youth to Take Over Montserrat’s Masquerade Dance
Cultural icon, Keithroy “ De Voice” Morson hopes to train select youth to lead the masquerade dance.
Morson, who was speaking on ZJB Radio last Friday, discussed progress made with the Davy Hill Masquerade group as well as the future of the group.
He says he does not intend to dance forever, and is observing the youths’ potential for the leadership role.
He also discussed incorporating various cultures and unique styles of dancing into the Montserrat masquerade dance.
